Q: What are the differences between the new D3 Display and the D4 banner display?
A: The new D3 is for displaying smaller format graphics and marketing material such as posters, back lit film graphics, brochures and signs. It is also designed to carry more weight than the D4.
Q: Can I use D3 components on my older D4 system?
A: No. They are not compatible.
Q: I need to transport my D3 display, do you have any solutions for this?
A: All D3 components are supplied in sturdy cartons as the majority of the time they are for permanent installation. However we do offer travel bags and cases for those clients who need to transport their display.
Q: Can I put a banner graphic on a D3 system?
A: Yes you can, but its cheaper to buy a D4.6 banner system, which is also easier to assemble.
Q: Can I put more than one Lightscreen on a D3 system?
A: No. The cable management mast can only accommodate one power cable.
Q: Can I use the D3 to display rigid foamex boards?
A: Yes. If you sit the board on the base plate and connect it to the cables with our fixings.
Q: Aaagh...my exhibition starts in 5 days and I've nothing organised. Can you help?
A: Don't panic, displays are available from stock and we can print your graphics in 2 days, as soon as we receive your artwork. That leaves you 2 days to get the artwork sorted out.
Q: Can I put more than three rows of acrylics on a D3 leaflet dispenser?
A: No. The loaded weight would be to great and the cables would sag.

Assembly
Q: How quickly can a D3 be assembled?
A: This depends on the model purchased, allow 10 minutes for one of the more complicated models that has a Lightscreen, leaflet dispenser and header board.
Q: I've lost my assembly instructions where can I get replacements?

Purchasing
Q: Do I have to buy my graphics from Dimensions Displays Ltd?
A: No. As long you as you follow the artwork specifications found on this website any professional large format digital printer should be able to produce graphics for any D3 system.
Q: How quickly can I get hold of a D3 without graphics?
A: We try to keep all D3 systems ex-stock. So, depending on the quantity required, displays can be dispatched same day if ordered before 12 noon, on an overnight delivery service. Orders received after 12 noon will be processed the following day.
Q: Can I buy a D3 display without a travel bag?
A: Yes. All D3 displays are sold without a travel bag as standard.
Q: Can we hire a D3’s from Dimensions?
A: No. We don’t offer a hire service for the D3 currently.

Components
Q: Will my Lightscreen work abroad?
A: Lightscreens supplied with a British plug will require a European plug adapter for use in Europe.
Q: Do you stock any other sizes of Leaflet Dispensers other than A4, A5 and DL?
A: No. Other sizes would have to be made as specials.

Artwork
Q: How do I prepare digital artwork?
A: Download the Digital Artwork Guidelines PDF for large format digital printing from here or the Printing section of this website.
Q: Can Dimensions Displays create my artwork?
A: No. We do not provide a graphic design service.
Q: How long does it take to print graphics?
A: Allow 2 - 4 working days from receipt of artwork to dispatch. These are guidelines only, please call when you are placing an order and we will confirm the production schedule.
Q: Do you supply colour proofs before printing the banners?
A: No. The graphics are printed direct from disk. We ask that you provide accurate colour proofs for us to match to. In critical situations e.g. large quantities or matching a corporate colour we can print a scale proof of your graphics for you to approve before we print the job. Please allow an extra 1 - 2 days to process and deliver these samples.
Q: How do I get my digital files to you?
A: Send artwork by courier or special delivery on CD or DVD. DO NOT post artwork to us using the normal mail. If sending artwork this way, please include colour proofs. You can also upload artwork to either our iDisk or FTP server, call for details on how to do this. Small files can be emailed to : Info@Dimensions-Displays.com. Please include a PDF proof if using these last two methods.

Ordering
Q: Do Dimensions offer discounts to trade customers?
A: Yes, call Robbie Ewing on 020 7485 8400 for details.
Q: How do I place an order?
A: Once we have confirmed the costs please email or fax us a signed Purchase Order or Written Confirmation on a company letterhead. Both should list the displays required with their unit costs and the total value of the order. We do not accept verbal telephone orders.

Payment
Q: What are Dimensions Displays payment terms?
A: If you're buying D3 systems on a regular basis we will open an account for you. Download Credit account application here. Our terms are 30 days net, subject to a credit check for companies based within the UK. If you are purchasing D3 systems on an occasional basis, once or twice yearly, we ask for payment in full by either cheque or credit card before dispatching the goods. PLEASE NOTE : All first time buyers have to pay up front or on delivery. Our full Terms and Conditions are available as a download.
Q: Do you accept Credit Card payments?
A: Yes, we accept Switch, Delta, Visa, Mastercard and American Express.
Q: If I am based outside the UK what are my payment terms?
A: Payment in full is required before the D3 displays will be dispatched. We can email an invoice to you with our bank details so you can set up an international money transfer or you can pay by credit card.
Q: We are based in Europe, can we be invoiced in Euro's?
A: Yes. When you place an order, tell us you want to be invoiced in Euro's.
Q: Does the list price include VAT?
A: No. Sales within the UK will be subject to VAT at the rate current at the time of purchase.

Delivery
Q: Does the list price include delivery?
A: No. Delivery costs are added to your invoice. They will vary depending on total weight of the displays bought and where they are going.
Q: How do you deliver D3 system?
A: Within the UK we ship displays out on a next day delivery by TNT. For EC countries we ship goods UPS, allow 1 - 4 days for delivery depending on country. We can send goods out by airfreight but this adds to the delivery costs.
Q: We’re based in London can we get a D3 Display frame the same day we order?
A: Yes, we can organise a same day delivery or you can collect your display from our London office in Camden.

Faults
Q: What happens if I receive a damaged or faulty D3 display?
A: In the unlikely event of display being damaged or faulty please contact us immediately. We will either arrange for collection of the whole display and send a replacement, or send a replacement part. Please keep all damaged goods as we will want to collect and inspect them.
Q: What happens if a component fails while I'm using my D4 display?
A: All D3 Displays are covered by a lifetime warranty. The displays are covered against manufacturing and assembly defects. Please contact us to discuss the fault and to get a replacement part. Please note that we do not accept liability if the displays have been modified or altered after delivery.

PDF
Q: How do I view or print a PDF?
A: If you wish to view or print a PDF you will require a piece of software called Acrobat Reader, this is available and free to download from the Adobe website.
Q: My PDF opens within my browser, how do I save it?
A: Browsers like Firefox or Safari have the Acrobat plug-in allowing you to view the PDF within your browser. If you wish to save the PDF simply go to the File in the menu of the browser and choose Save. When saving make sure you choose the "type" as "Source" and not as "Text". Alternatively when clicking on the original link to the PDF hold down the Right Mouse button (PC) or CTRL key and mouse button (MAC) and choose to Save / Download the Link / Target.
Q: My downloaded PDF does not want to open?
A1: Rather than double clicking the file to open it, go to the File menu within Acrobat Reader, choose Open and then locate the PDF.
A2: When downloading the PDF you may need to specify whether you are saving the file as "Text" or "Source". Make sure you have chosen "Source".
